Dr. Leland Ryken has written this course to show people how Bible reading can be transformed when they consider the fact that the bible is indeed literature.
The course I have assembled here represents the first third of the courses I teach on the Bible as literature. Narrative is one of the main genres in the Bible, and anyone who masters this biblical genre will have a good grasp of the Bible as literature.
